1. What This Website Is

Clatsop County Criminal History is a private reference website with no government connection. It does not hold official criminal records, conduct official background checks, retrieve records for users, or file documents on anyone's behalf.

Its role is to direct readers to the offices and systems that maintain records, including the Clatsop County Sheriff's Office, Clatsop County Circuit Court and municipal courts, Oregon State Police Criminal Justice Information Services, and the Oregon Sex Offender Registry. Oregon Public Records Law, ORS 192.311 to 192.478, governs requests to public bodies, while ORS 181A.220, 181A.230, and 181A.245 control confidentiality and authorized dissemination of criminal-history information. Linked outside tools may also assist with research.
